SULTANI DASTAR is a Oud forward fragrance with rose intertwine with the depth of dark tea, the softness of apricot suede and a richly layered oud foundation  Its character moves between brightness and shadow: tart fruit against rounded flowers, dry tea against warm sweetness and delicate rose petals against the deeper grain of wood.

To picture its scent imagine a cup of strong black tea beside fresh roses a ripe apricot opened at the table  and a soft suede shawl carrying the lingering fragrance of oud. There is a little blackcurrant sharpness in the air. Together, these impressions suggest Dastar’s mood floral, textured, quietly sumptuous with a darker warmth underneath.

The opening has a lively tension. Blackcurrant brings a sour-sweet bite that meets the dry, gently bitter character of black tea. Osmanthus connects them, introducing an apricot-like softness with a suggestion of suede. This creates an opening that can feel almost spicy: brisk, textured and slightly astringent with fruit providing a rounded edge. Orange blossom brings a lighter floral breath through this darker introduction.

As the fragrance settles, rose becomes the thread that holds the composition together. Bulgarian white rose, Taif rose, Hindi Damascena and French Centifolia form a heart with several shades of expression: fresh petals, fuller floral sweetness, and a warmer, deeper rose character. Their purpose is to give the whole blend continuity. The blackcurrant feels woven into the flowers; the tea lends them depth; the apricot and suede facets of osmanthus soften their edges.

Gardenia adds a creamy floral fullness, while saffron lends a warm, softly leathery shading. Here, Dastar begins to feel more enveloping. The initial tartness eases into a rounded floral texture, yet the tea keeps a dry line running through it. Imagine rose petals resting against suede, with the scent of tea still rising nearby.

Beneath this floral heart lies a collection of SULTANI Bhutan, Kolagassi, Laos, Cambodi, vintage Hindi and Hainan Ruby ouds. Together, they provide the dark foundation on which the brighter notes unfold. Their importance is in the depth they give the experience: rose acquires gravity, the suede impression feels richer, and the tea’s dryness finds an echo in the wood. As the opening recedes, this foundation becomes increasingly central to the fragrance.

The later impression is warmer and more settled. Rose remains within the woods while vanilla rounds the composition with a gentle sweetness. White ambergris contributes a soft, lingering warmth. The intended finish is an intimate meeting of floral traces, worn suede and deep oud, with a little of the tea’s dryness still present.

Dastar’s beauty lies in that gradual change of texture. It begins with the brightness of tart fruit and the tension of tea, opens into a generous rose heart and settles into warm, shaded woods. Each part gives the next something to carry forward, so the fragrance feels connected throughout its journey.

Only 32 numbered bottles in 50 ml are being offered. The significance of this small release lies in the particular materials brought together and in the way their individual textures become one scent on skin.
