Hathkora is a bitter, green, and citrusy explosion. Layered with heavy moist hay and the traditional Hindi oud classic, the meadow muffins. It reminds me of my old release from 2018 Mr. Barn :)

Despite my deliberate choice of that name, Mr. Barn's strength and character  were well respected at the time. It sold out right away that night, I had underestimated.

This taught me never doubt a real oil with traditional complex character. The tribes in the community that have similar olfaction taste just grew over years. Beyond this, barn and hay will destroy the sensory experience of genuinely enjoying farm house in nature. A swipe in drawing room will transport you to barnyard with bells and mooing heard in the distance. :)

This time, all the notes are hitting the right spot and is more rounded than before. Save this classic example will be a juice for many in future to score . An iconic Hindi Oud in a most traditional way.

SUMMER CO-DISTILLED LAOS BATCH JULY 2025

This attar is a co-distilled example of natural symbiosis within two diverse ingredients. Alchemy of seasonal China Box (Jasmine) and LAOS Oud (Crassna).

The Jasmine is subtly present while the LAOS Oud takes center stage. It opens with delightful green tea jasmine buds and buttery, bitter oud resin, accented by a faint sweet balsamic note. This creation is an ongoing journey towards a beautiful accord creation combining distinct ingredients. It features a sweet-sour berries and incense oud aroma, with a hint of white florals and a touch of animalic warmth in the dry down.

 This oil is ideal during beautiful weather outdoor and offered at an excellent price. Bottles and packaging will be ready starting September 9th 2025. We’re ending the year with the lovely notes of Jasmine and LAOS Oud, wishing everyone a prosperous and happy new year.

The contrast between Jasmine Oud and other jasmine fragrances is almost surreal. It has a grounding, a-typical scent that is almost impossible to forget. The fragrance is also very refreshing. It is not overly bright and lacks indole aspect. There is a lovely, faint earthiness, a whisper of wood oud and gentle herbs. Jasmine is faint milky with a hint of musky and refreshing. A delicate & herbal trail lingering. It feels like roaming through a wild forest which is alive with jasmine blossoms. Bliss!

This one is really therapeutic. The aroma of Lotus and Kaffir Lime welcome you with a serene and energising ambience. A quick, delicate burst of pink rose water from the millions of dews of waterfall. The Laos Crassna oud is very significant. The character is wearing faint tobacco, saffron suede and a light shade of hay with sour & blueberries. Rose water and a beautiful harvest of oud oil distilled in a pot. The plan is to showcase Laos oud oil in its purest form in elixir medium of perfumery. In this one-of-a-kind composition, the Laos Oud takes centre stage. The secret is curing as oil was fresh; it will eventually become a very uncommon and ethereal experience.

Merauke Reflection is an unique attar featuring a complex blend of rare ingredients from diverse geographical regions. This Oud forward attar  transports you to the starry, tropical skies of the island. It opens with sweet molasses of Merauke oud which is from pandanus flowers in disguised nectar-ish, beautiful green watery vibes like tender flesh of bamboo followed by the earthy moistness of Merauke oud complimented by tropical white florals and faint fruity champaca vibes. This attar is laced just enough with dark bourbon vanilla elevating subtle balsamic elements creating a harmonious and captivating experience. Mearuke Reflection is an oud forward olfactory journey revealing unexplored facets of the Merauke experience. A rare treat!

For the initiated with Shamsher, Musk Al Alam translates to the epitome of my signature blend and style. Opening boldly, potently animalic with a raw savory appeal, the perfume unfolds with layers in the first minute or two on the skin. A few minutes later, the musk rises to the fore: an incense musk in crystal beauty further touched by a delicate rose sillage in the tail of the incense. It is an appealing interplay, where musk does dominate but allows rose a subsidiary voice. Rose is quieter; musk is the main one, while rose does surface at times, crisp and fresh. Civet adds a soft, powdery muskiness to give depth to the tonkin fragrance. The balsamic vanilla character of castoreum hasn’t settled down completely yet; it rounds out the sweetness in this composition. Musk Al Alam is an addition to prestige that a new comer or connoisseur of musk deserves and will be treasured for years.

Aged and cured beautifully from 2021 Mysore Santal is a prime example in Santalum Album heartwood & upper branches category. A larger batch allows me to extend this oil at a wonderful price.

Mysore Santal oil is a rich & full-bodied aroma. A sweet, woody and creamy blend of notes that sings in harmony together. Supporting it all is a buttery, balsamic depth with resinous body and a soft, lingering smoothness that sets it apart from other sandalwoods species.

As the scent develops it discloses soft top notes of heartwood streaked with minty or camphorous whiffs which has a brightness and crispiness to the initial impression. Within the centre a gentle nutty lactic like fragrance appears not sour curdy. It has a unique nearly gourmand facets.

Of greatest value in perfumery, the Mysore sandalwood is a natural fixative that extends the aroma and complexity to fragrances without imparting its own scent. Can be layered together or use as maceration carrier oil for traditional recipe.

Since 2019, this Silani oud  has been aging that truly stands out. It’s expertly distilled and boasts a stunning wild Silani core from Sri Pad Adam Peaks. With over 50 years age of harvest you can really appreciate its rich aroma and unique character. It’s almost reminiscent of traditional Hindi Oud without any barn or leather notes just pure goodness. The spiciness and tang are distinct leading to a lovely dry down that features a hint of sour green mango peel showcasing its Silani essence at its best. Crafting a harmonious blend of oceanic notes is a formidable challenge for me. Particularly, when I aim to avoid overwhelming leather or animalistic sea weedy musk undertones. My objective is to capture the essence of salty minerals, mineral sand smell from foam of waves hitting the shoreline, a pristine ocean breeze, powdery white gris and earthy, mineral from grey ambergris turning sweet with Oud serving as the foundation of the composition. I aspire to evoke an airy, oceanic freshness reminiscent of gentle summer beach trips. The inclusion of iris, violet, and the smokiness of onycha shells with white ambergris effectively conveys an oceanic ambiance while the subtle vapours of West Borneo enhance this blue green impression. The formulation reveals a mineral, metallic quality from jasmine, the white gris is powdery musky and hints of animal musk derived from the maceration of grey ambergris. The opening notes deliver a vibrant fruitiness and citrus burst reminds me of Phuket evoking the joyful sunlit breezes of a tropical island. Ultimately, this composition is all about ambergris experience characterised by a clean summer essence with understated leather and Oud wood notes emerging in the dry down. All weather wear.

Hyrax Carnal is one of them. This blend combines expression of floral sensuality and animalic beauty. Achieve balance of floral and animalic that dance together in perfect harmony. This blend is exceptional! It’s like a multi cultural event with elements from India, the GCC, and France all mixed together. Shamama IRIS really nails that global vibe. There’s a light citrus scent that hints at powdery iris wrapped around a rose, and you can definitely catch that intriguing iris cloud with a bit of funk from gris and civet. It’s DEEP with layers of ingredients with Oud as the main stage and the woody, buttery sandalwood gives off a nice timber vibe along with milky macadamia and minty hojari notes. By the time towards dry down it kinda gives off a suede plush soft leather feel truly a modern twist on Shamama. This fragrance is really special in a bottle!
