Sandal Motia Oud opens with the intoxicating creaminess of fresh motia lush white jasmine, slightly green, humid and almost narcotic.
The sandalwood quickly softens it, giving the flowers a milky, buttery warmth, while the oud sits deeper underneath: woody, earthy, faintly barny and animalic, creating a beautiful contrast to the pristine white floral.
As it settles, the jasmine becomes less bright and more sensualĀ creamy flowers soaked into warm sandalwood with the lingering shadow of aged oud on skin.
It smells traditional, intimate and beautifully Indian not a clean modern jasmine, but flowers, sandalwood and oud slowly melting into one another.
