This is a well-aged 2018 Crassna oud from Cambodi Thai, derived from 30-40 years old trees that was distilled traditionally a wood fire at the Cambodia-Thailand border using copper stills. It has a deep DARK, rich RESINOUS red hue and LACKS any fruity notes until the finish. The oud presents a gentle smokiness that evokes my memories of Tibetan monastery, Japanese temple, and the calming scent of Palo Santo & smokehouse pits. The distinct notes of red cherries laced with moist tobacco, aged balsamic twang and soft suede leather reminiscent of an old saddle. Smokehouse Leather is a oud which illustrates how oud can evolve beautifully with time offering an ethereal experience. It easily one of our top offerings of 2025. Very rare I come across oil of this caliber which has complexity and prudent character of Cambodi though being Thai.  This one will be a favourite for many over time.
