Crafting a harmonious blend of oceanic notes is a formidable challenge for me. Particularly, when I aim to avoid overwhelming leather or animalistic sea weedy musk undertones. My objective is to capture the essence of salty minerals, mineral sand smell from foam of waves hitting the shoreline, a pristine ocean breeze, powdery white gris and earthy, mineral from grey ambergris turning sweet with Oud serving as the foundation of the composition. I aspire to evoke an airy, oceanic freshness reminiscent of gentle summer beach trips. The inclusion of iris, violet, and the smokiness of onycha shells with white ambergris effectively conveys an oceanic ambiance while the subtle vapours of West Borneo enhance this blue green impression. The formulation reveals a mineral, metallic quality from jasmine, the white gris is powdery musky and hints of animal musk derived from the maceration of grey ambergris. The opening notes deliver a vibrant fruitiness and citrus burst reminds me of Phuket evoking the joyful sunlit breezes of a tropical island. Ultimately, this composition is all about ambergris experience characterised by a clean summer essence with understated leather and Oud wood notes emerging in the dry down. All weather wear.
